To Whom it may concern FNB Testimonial and recommendation – PV Solutions (Pty) Ltd

I am the owner of a commercial agricultural operation where operational continuity, regulatory compliance, and power supply reliability are critical. PV Solutions (Pty) Ltd was appointed to design, supply, install, and commission an integrated photovoltaic (PV) and integrated generator system on our farm, especially designed for irrigation and storage- and product treatment facilities.

The project was executed with a high degree of professionalism, technical competence, and attention to detail.

The system design was appropriate for our operational requirements, and the installation was completed to specification and in accordance with applicable safety, electrical, and commissioning standards. Of particular importance was PV Solutions’ full responsibility for the regulatory and utility interface processes.

They managed the complete application, submission, and approval procedures with NERSA and Eskom, including all required documentation, compliance checks, and stakeholder engagement. Their approach in dealing with NERSA officials and Eskom representatives was professional, transparent, and cooperative, resulting in efficient processing, good governance, and constructive working relationships throughout the process.

Since commissioning, the system has operated reliably and in line with performance expectations. PV Solutions has also demonstrated a high level of professionalism in their after-sales service, providing prompt support, clear communication, and ongoing technical assistance, which contributes significantly to confidence in the long-term sustainability of the installation.

The PV Solutions Team from Mr Flip Opperman, Mr Gerhard Koster and every person we worked with was clinical in the execution of their duties and walked the extra mile when it comes to client satisfaction and third-party negotiations.

I consider PV Solutions (Pty) Ltd to be a competent, compliant, and reliable renewable energy contractor. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to any financial institutions for accreditation purposes, particularly where projects require bankable execution, regulatory compliance, and effective engagement with authorities and utilities.

Based on the above, I regard PV Solutions (Pty) Ltd as a competent, compliant, and reliable service provider and confirm that, in my experience, they are suitable for accreditation by any financial institution for agricultural and commercial renewable energy projects.

RE: PV Solutions — 228kWp Solar installation at ORJ Dear Mr. Opperman With this letter, we would like to congratulate you on the professional manner in which this project has been executed.

During 2022, several meetings were set up to discuss various alternative energy options at Orange River Juice (PTY) Ltd. (ORJ), in which Magaliesberg Citrus Company (PTY) Ltd. has a 40% share and manages all operations at ORJ. Your technical expertise, together with all the financial and other calculations that were presented, greatly assisted the shareholders of ORJ to make informed decisions. Of all renewable energy quotations and proposals that we have received, none were as detailed and self-explanatory as the documentation received from PV Solutions.

After go-ahead was given to PV Solutions Services (PTY) Ltd. in August 2022, the project gained momentum with civil and structural works commencing in September 2022. The installed 228kWp solar system was successfully operational on the 21st of October 2022.

We are highly satisfied with your service and would recommend your expertise to any company that needs expert advice and renewable energy solutions.

Best Regards

Good Day Flip

We would also like to congratulate you, and your support team on the successful installation of Groot Gariep’s PV Solar plant (605 KWp) in Kakamas – Northern Cape.

The engineers and the contractors, and everybody that was involved in this project were truly professional.

This project was not as easy, as predicted. Being in a Municipal area, it was frustrating, to say the least, to get to an agreement. You made the process easier, by getting NERSA approvals, etc. As a Company using a Municipality grid, it’s still a risky endeavour – but in the current load shedding and high-power costs – we had to endure and went ahead with the project.

Since our first discussions, and board meetings in 2019 – we can only be thankful, that we picked your company as there were too many that would have liked to have tried – but haven’t gotten your company and team’s expertise and reliability.

It’s been a long and hard road, from the beginning of discussions, till the completion of the project in August 2022.

Thank you for the effort and professionalism, and the friendships that were formed. We are looking forward to doing business in the future again.

Good morning Flip

I would like to put our gratitiude in writing. A big thank you to your support team, the engineers, the contractors, everybody that was involved in this project.

This project kicked of in middle 2020, amidst the COVID pandemic. Thus said, we did not stress for one moment. You carried all of the burden and kept everything on course.

Your quotes and timelines were clear. As we financed the plant ourselves, this aspect was extremely important for our cashflow.

We specifically chose PV Solutions because of your experience in dealing with Eskom. This proves to be the best decision that we have ever made.

In a certain sense it is sad that the project has been completed, as it was such an exciting journey. Thank you for realising our dream of cleaner energy.

Dear Flip,

640 kWP  HV Solar plant at Augpad Cold stores

It was a long process since August 2018 when we first engaged into discussions and planning of Solar options for the cold stores.  At times it was little frustrating not because of your management but the timely process of ESKOM approval, NERSA application and then finally placing orders for the plant. After the completion of all legal requirements and obtaining all approvals the installation was actually quite speedy.

Although a very good financial model was produced – it was stressful awaiting the pay out of the FNB loan. Since FNB have approved the loan, and AUGPAD issued the order to continue with project and actual pay out was 5 months. The project was 90% installed without loan being paid to Augpad. During this 5 month period about 80% of capital cost was payable out of cash flow. This caused a great deal of stress.

The planning was spot on and plant delivered and switched on 1 month before the financial year start of ESKOM.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you and your team for all designs, forecasts and administration processes driven to get NERSA and ESKOM approval.  Construction were done extremely professional and very neatly. This project is for sure a second show case in our area of how it should be done.

We look forward to see the performance after first 12 months and full year cycle of net metering and banking.

All of the best going forward and we trust that this kind of installation will greatly contribute in future to our countries soaring energy needs.

Kind regards

Alwyn Dippenaar

Good day Flip, I am writing this letter to congratulate you on the completion of the 1.125Mw Solar Plant build for Groenheuwel Top Fruit

It has been a long road to get to this point, but I want to thank you and your team for the professional work you have done, the plant seems to operate above our expectations and we are happy to see all the figures and estimates pen out as planned. At the start of the project, it seems the administration and documentation were the insurmountable challenge, but you and your team handled it like professionals and the day NERSA registration arrived, we all rejoiced and the commissioning of the plant started and was complete again, earlier than expected.

I also want to thank you and your team for your hospitality, professionalism and attention to detail, the plant is well rounded off, all the wiring is neat and overall, the plant just looks great, I had a few people at the plant to show them and it is also a point noted by some of them.

Lastly I want to thank you, for all the support and follow ups, the service you deliver is of the highest standard and I will recommend you to anyone interested in these plants.

Keep well and I wish you all the success going forward.Kind Regards

Morning Flip

It has been a long road getting our plant operational.  There have been many hurdles and frustrating meetings at times with suppliers.

I would like to use this opportunity to congratulate you with the project.

From the outset with the initial designs and the paper trail you assisted with in regards to Eskom and Nersa, your input and work was done professionally.  Please also convey our gratitude to your support team as to the likes of the electrical engineers, the design team and the electrical contractor that helped on the project.

Compliments in the professional manner that the project was dealt with and the timelines that were planned.  Although Eskom wasn’t easy to manage and deal with at times, you kept the project well within the schedule.

The plant is running very well and as you and I have discussed at our last meeting, it is actually performing above the design parameter.

We are highly satisfied with the quality of work you and your team brought to the completion of the project.

I will always be an ambassador for you.

Kind regards

James Jenkinson.
